Acute - what does it mean?

Acute means you have had pain for less than 6 weeks.

It’s nothing to do with severity.  Just length of time.

Having had pain for less than 6 weeks, is much better than having had pain for a longer period.  Generally, the shorter your period of suffering, the quicker it is to get better.  Good news!
